Pretzel shaped scalextric track set to spark surgeons’ interest at SAGES

Thursday, 1 March, 2012

Surgical Innovations (SI) have created a giant pretzel shaped scalextric track to help promote our latest innovation – PretzelFlex™- amongst surgeons at congress SAGES (Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons) next week in San Diego, California. PretzelFlex™ is the world’s first pretzel shaped surgical retractor for use in minimally invasive surgery.

SI got creative in a bid to attract the attention of and engage with US clinicians about our latest technologies.

The track will allow surgeons to compete for the best lap time with an opportunity of winning a prize at the end of each day. The cars are to be branded according to SI product ranges including the Queens Award winning YelloPort+plus™ laparoscopic port access system and the flagship Reposable™ Logi™Range.
