Surgical Innovations (SI) has been featured in the ‘Professional Engineer’ magazine to recognise our ‘added-value’ UK manufacture facilities.
Bringing the manufacture of our medical devices back to the Leeds facility has been an on-going initiative since 2008 and now many British companies are also following suit, demonstrating that the UK is an attractive proposition for home based manufacturing.
Graham Bowland, CEO of SI, said, “We design and manufacture innovative medical devices for ‘key-hole’ surgery and quality is therefore of utmost importance. I derive great satisfaction in being able to walk out onto the factory floor every day and see our devices manufactured to our imposed exacting standards.”
The article coincides with the recent announcement of Alasdair Mercer as a ‘Make it in Great Britain’ rising star, with the aim of transforming the image of British manufacturing.
