Richard has over 23 years of experience in manufacturing across the Aerospace, Defence, Medical and Analytical Instruments sectors. He began his career at Reliance Precision as an engineering apprentice and went on to graduate from Huddersfield University with a first-class BEng (hons) Engineering degree.
He has achieved accreditations as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and Chartered Manager with the Chartered Manager Institute. Throughout his career Richard has developed expertise in precision manufacturing and assembly techniques, with proven leadership experience in high reliability and complex engineering environments.
In 2025 Richard Joined Surgical Innovations as Production Director, where he oversees Production and Supply Chain function, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement across the business.
